Artist Statement

After working many years as an IT manager, I decided to follow my dreams. I quit the job and took an art education at Copenhagen Art School.

The flame was lit and there was no way back. I had my debut at the juried Winter Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1995 and the following year displayed three installations at the Artists' Fall Exhibition.

Since then, I have had several exhibitions internationally -juried as well as curated museum and -gallery exhibitions.

I am in debt to the professional artists that pushed me on to sculpture and later Graphics – I now have my own printshop with equipment for lithographic print, linocut, drypoint, etching and aquatint.  Besides painting and graphics, I work with sculptures in bronze and acrylics. The acrylics I combine with 3D-technique..

Why I choose to be an artist I do not know, but to work creatively is now an important part of my life. I am inspired by the people around me and work with composition and colors to create the impression I want.

Some quotes from Art critics:

Mogens Kischinovsky's pictures are painted in colorful, broad strokes and in his own distinct style. Kischinovsky's charcoal drawings of almost cubistic style reveal an artist with strength.   (Iben Friis Jensen).

Mogens Kischinovsky paints nude studies in a very brutal and expressionistic way."        (Tove Marie Petersen)

I am active in organizing exhibitions and take part in organizations and events relating  to art.
